Inhale LOVE, Exhale LOVE

When you inhale, you are taking the strength from God. When you exhale, it represents the service you are giving to the world." ~ B.K.S. Iyengar

Whoever you refer to the Divine Self as, breath in that strength and then send it back out to the Universe.
Iyengar's words resonate with me. As I practice putting those words into Practice, I begin to observe how collective strength has the power to change whatever is. Often, especially when I am in a rut or facing a physical and/or an emotional challenge, I find myself asking how do I put all of that into Practice? The answer is always the same:
As I inhale open my heart to recieve the love from the Universe as I exhale send the love in me back out to the Universe. Inhaling... Love; exhaling... Love.
Happy Saturday! It's a beauuutiful LIFE.

Now, the Present.

You can change the past
by changing
your behavior in the present,
since the present
soon becomes your past.
You also shape your future
by the actions
you take today.

Being here.

Happy Sunday, Readers!!!

Right now, ask yourself:

Where am I? .... the answer is... Here.
What time is it?... the answer is... Now.
What am I?... the answer is... This Moment.

Dan Millman, former world champion athlete, coach, instructor, professor, and author or The Peaceful Warrior and many other spiritual books inspired me to seek more within. I now find myself asking those same 3 questions several times a day; sometimes I ask them several times within the hour.

Sometimes you have to lose your mind in order to come to your senses ~ Dan Millman

May you open your heart to trust world and let them guide you with uncertainty.
May you cultivate a fresh new perspective of the world as a traveler in a distant land.
May you be happy, healthy, and free.
~Namaste
Happy Day!

What defines Sport!? My husband and I disagree on what is and is not a SPORT. Apparently, in his mind, figure skating and snowboarding are not sports. I disagree. Personally, I just think he is confused between "game" and "sport"...

Projects...

I love Projects! I just archived the first voicethread I created over the summer. I did write a letter to go along with it, but I need to find a moment to pull myself together, so I don't get choked up reading it.
For now, enjoy!

Today one of my loyal and honest students approached me and asked, "Mrs. KP, have you ever been so fed up with the drama that you just want to explode and scream I JUST CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!'" I responded, "Yes, honey... But you will learn in time ways to move passed it without exploding." She smiled. As she started to move on I reassured her with, "oh yeah, and welcome to the life of females. also known as drama!" She laughed, thanked me, and went on her merry way!
This instance gets me back to reflecting upon the question my Principal posed to me the other day, regarding whether I'd want to teach all girls or all boys next year, if they decide to make 6th grade single-gender.
I told him I enjoy teaching both, but the girls do have a lot of drama. However, the more I think about it, the more I lean to teaching all girls. Personally, in addition to being their teacher, I think I'd be a good role model and mentor for them. I can connect to 6th grade gira, because I used to be one!!! :)
Anyway, would you want to teach all boys ELA or all girls and why?...
Enjoy pondering this decision!

3 Words

Hope... is what you saw watching this family graciously leaning against the bed rails; singing vibrant, glorious psalms in his ear. Their patience priceless, guiding his every thought to seeing his beautiful home and a long life together in his mind. Hope is the reflection of my family; an endless reflection that glistens in our souls.

Thank you once again tech-savy world, it is 9:30pm EST here in South Carolina and I am listening to tomorrow morning's harmonous Thai birds chirping on the other side of the world, where it is 9:30am...without any charge! I LOVE YOU, technology!
So here's my question for you: I want to know how technology has made a positive impact on YOUR life?
