Football Sunday is now on Saturday, too?

Let's face it, I am not a fan of football Sunday and cannot remember a time in my life when I had been. I came to the realization this year of why football Sunday does not stand out as a national holiday in my world. Here it is:  "I've been a procrastinator and a student my entire life and did all my school work on Sunday. As a result, I had no time to occupy myself in being taken to "planet-tunnel vision-football" Sunday.
As a matter of fact, football did not come into my world until I had my first boyfriend during my senior year of high school. I can recall being dragged into the living room to sit in awe for 4 hours (sometimes 8 if there were 2 games on that day... how lucky). However, I wasn't in awe at the team, the game, or the talent(if there is such) of the players. I was in awe at those in my living room who gazed into the television screen as they were taken into "planet-tunnel-vision-football" galaxy. So as to please my boyfriend and feel a part of my family's tradition, I put myself through this torture. Growing up in a dance studio and in a classroom, I knew NOTHING about the game nor how it was played. I particularly remember one chilly Sunday, the fireplace was burning, my dad's living room floor was covered with my siblings and their significant others, and I on the other hand, sat with my laptop in front of me typing away. This Sunday is so vivid in my mind because it was on that very special day that my family finally taught me what "downs" were. Wow, I thought. Such intellectual minds we must have to be able to figure out whether or not the team has 1 or 4 "downs." Instead, let's try to equate how many hours we could spend doing something physical and engaging. I think football Sunday is pathetic. And NOW, to make the event more of a disliking, my mom sent me a text today that read "8pm my house...Eagles game." It's SATURDAY.
Apparently football Sunday is now on Saturday too.
